Vitamin E sources
It may be one of the most popular vitamin supplements out there, but did you know you can get all the vitamin E you need from a healthy balanced diet?
Vitamin E is a lipophilic vitamin, meaning that it can be found in fat molecules rather than water-based ones. Almonds are one of the best known sources of vitamin E.Â
Almond oil for vitamin E
You can get vitamin E by eating a handful of almonds as a snack, or by including our Organic Italian Almond Oil in your smoothies, bakes and breakfast bowls.
It has a gentle, slightly nutty flavour which blends brilliantly in all sorts of dishes. Other whole foods which include vitamin E are pumpkin seed oil, chia seed oil, amaranth oil, asparagus, mango and avocado.
Vitamin E oil for skin and hair
As vitamin E is such a great nutrient for looking after your skin and hair, many people love to use it in their beauty and skincare routines. Our cold-pressed plant oils are completely pure. That means they’re food grade and safe to eat, but it also makes them some of the finest oils around to use in skincare. For a nourishing vitamin E treatment, we recommend gently warming a small amount of our Organic Italian Almond Oil and smoothing directly over your skin. It’s fine to use it on your face, as it’s non-comedogenic and doesn’t block your pores. Alternatively, smooth over wet hair and wrap in a towel for thirty minutes as a nourishing treatment before your normal wash routine. And if you’re a curly girl, it’s brilliant for taming frizz without feeling heavy. Or, how about our Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil? As well as vitamin E, it contains omega-7 which nourishes your skin. It has a strong orange tint, so we recommend mixing it with a little carrier oil. Our Organic Almond or Hemp oils are ideal for this. Best foods for skin health >>
