Ingredients and nutrition
Ingredients: 100% organic cold-pressed oil from poppy seeds (Papaver somniferum (L.)).
How to enjoy: Our oil doesn’t like to be heated, so instead use one teaspoon per day in salad dressings or to finish dips, soups and pasta dishes. You can also apply it directly to your skin and hair, and it’s perfect for an overnight moisturising treatment.

Why we love organic poppy seed oil
About our organic poppy seed oil
Light and nutty, our Organic Poppy Seed Oil may be one of the most familiar-tasting of our cold-pressed oils, but it has a whole host of surprising health benefits.
It contains vitamin E which fights free radicals and slows oxidative stress, as well as being healthy for your skin. Our Organic Poppy Seed Oil is also rich in phytonutrients which help to calm and nurture the body, as well as being a natural source of unsaturated fatty acids which are healthy for your heart and brain.
With its mild and versatile flavour, it’s an easy way to boost the nutrients in dishes from salads to desserts.
Sustainably sourced.
- Our poppies are grown in Eastern Europe by small organic farmers.
- The poppy seeds are harvested each year around August and cold-pressed into a nutritious oil.
- We pour the oil into environmentally-friendly amber glass bottles.
- We ship it to you, to enjoy at home.

I only wish there was more!
I just received mine a few days ago and I’m already almost out! I use it for my hair as well as cooking, but mostly salads or to drizzle over some dips/veggies. I haven’t tried actually cooking with it yet but that’s next on my list!

Alternative oil
Although the poppy seed oil is very light in flavour, it is surprisingly earthy and nutty in taste (not what you would expect from a flower!). A drizzle makes for a great salad topping / dressing with some nuts and seeds.
