Where do you source your milk thistle from?

California and the American Southwest (Arizona, Texas) grows nopal. Southwestern cooking uses this ingredient and we especially love it in the wonderful New Mexican cuisine.

However, nopal is also a part of the Mediterranean landscape. For instance, Israel grows the crop. The opuntia cactus grows well in arid terrains, making nopal a potential cash crop in regions where not much else can be grown. Other versions of the Feria de Nopales annual fair in Mexico are cropping up worldwide as ways to promote the consumption and cultivation of the crop.
