Naturally gluten-free, versatile and with a moreish earthy flavour, our Amaranth Flour is a great option in baking and works well with both sweet and savoury flavours.
Amaranth is an ancient ‘grain’; once a staple of the Pre-Colombian Aztecs, it is packed with nutrients. Unusually, amaranth contains all nine essential amino acids, including lysine, which is important for collagen production.
A natural free-radical fighter, amaranth also contains phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron and is an excellent source of dietary fibre.

Incredible gluten free cookies!!!
I used the amaranth flour to make pistachio and cardamom cookies topped with vegan chocolate and crushed pistachios and they were to die for! A definite hit with my partner who is so picky when it comes to gluten free flour alternatives. Using amaranth flour is so easy and straight forward! Great for those with gluten intolerance or anyone who wants a healthier protein rich alternative! I am also planning to make some pancakes with the flour as well!
