About this role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced computer science leader to join our senior team as Chief Technology Officer.
You’ll be in charge of developing our e-commerce platform and Erbology Personalised – our AI-enabled service that tailors foods and content to our customers’ health goals and needs. You will help define our product vision and roadmap, and lead the team to make it a reality.
This is a full-time role based in Prague or London. You will report directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities
- Together with the leadership team, define the product vision, specs and roadmap
- Manage the development process and take thought-through decisions from concept to architecture, design and development
- Ensure optimal performance, superior user experience and meet the deadlines and budget
- Take responsibility and allocate efficiently the R&D and engineering team budget
- Recruit, retain and grow a world class engineering team from the ground up
- Constantly improve processes and apply best practices
Required skills and experience
- Extensive experience and impressive track record in a fast-growing tech company
- Demonstrate experience of successfully building high-performing engineering teams
- Demonstrate experience of building AI-enabled products from foundation to successful deployment and iterations
- Wide knowledge across different computer science areas, incl. machine learning
- Problem solving mind and action-oriented approach
- Excellent organisational skills combined with attention to detail and high-level outcomes
- Start-up and collaborative mindset, ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for sustainability and innovation
- Postgraduate degree, PhD in AI is a plus
