Milled chia seeds
You might be wondering why it’s better to use a powder made from milled chia seeds than it is to simply include the whole seeds in your recipe.
The answer is: concentrations!
We make two products from chia seeds: our Organic Chia Seed Oil and our Organic Chia Seed Powder. This separates and concentrates the nutrients of the seed into two groups.
Not sure which chia product to choose?
If you’re interested in omega-3 and healthy fats, we recommend our cold-pressed oil. Whereas, if you’re keen to include more protein and fibre in your recipe, choose our powder. Both are full of health-supporting nutrients, but having two products makes it easier to tailor them to your health goals.
How to use our chia seed powder
Our Organic Chia Seed Powder is made from the solids of chia seeds which remain after the oils have been cold-pressed from them.
It is versatile and you can use it in all sorts of recipes. We love adding it to our smoothies for extra protein and fibre, and to thicken sauces.
However, you can also add a spoonful to your cakes, breads, cookies and energy balls for an extra boost of nutrition.
