About our lion's mane mushroom powder

Lion’s mane mushroom, named for its flowing white tendrils, has long been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to nourish your ‘Qi’, or vital energy. Today, scientists are investigating lion’s mane for its ability to treat mood imbalances and help with cognitive impairment.

We grow our lion’s mane mushrooms in carefully controlled conditions on a natural and organic substrate. As a result, our lion’s mane contains over 32% beta-glucans.

Lion’s mane can be eaten whole and has a mild flavour and texture. Mix our powder into soups, stews and hot water. Alternatively, add half a teaspoon to your tea, coffee or hot chocolate per day. You can take it up to twice a day, but remember to take a break after 6-8 weeks of use.

Yamabushitake

Lion’s mane has many alternative names, including ‘satyr’s beard’, ‘pom pom mushroom’ and ‘bearded hedgehog mushroom’. Our favourite, though, is ‘yamabushitake’. This name translates to ‘those who sleep in the mountains’, and refers to the Shugendo sect of hermit monks, who live in the mountains and wear long, white, flowing robes.
