I’ve used this product in a variety of ways, from cacao porridge which brought boldness and over a stir fry whilst cooking. After a few days of using I noticed improvement to my energy levels and I’m still using now. Can’t wait to test in other recipes.

About our lion's mane mushroom powder

Lion’s mane mushroom, named for its flowing white tendrils, has long been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to nourish your ‘Qi’, or vital energy. Today, scientists are investigating lion’s mane for its ability to treat mood imbalances and help with cognitive impairment.

We grow our lion’s mane mushrooms in carefully controlled conditions on a natural and organic substrate. Unlike other producers, who often grow their mushrooms on starch which is then hard to separate from the final product, we do this to guarantee the purity of the final powder.

Lion’s mane can be eaten whole and has a mild flavour and texture. Mix our powder into soups, stews and hot water. Alternatively, add half a teaspoon to your tea, coffee or hot chocolate per day. You can take it up to twice a day, but remember to take a short break after 20 days.

Yamabushitake

Lion’s mane has many alternative names, including ‘satyr’s beard’, ‘pom pom mushroom’ and ‘bearded hedgehog mushroom’. Our favourite, though, is ‘yamabushitake’. This name translates to ‘those who sleep in the mountains’, and refers to the Shugendo sect of hermit monks, who live in the mountains and wear long, white, flowing robes.

Supply chain

Sustainably sourced.

  1. We grow our lion’s mane mushroom in carefully controlled conditions in Europe. Our hericium erinaceus is grown on organic lignocellulosic substrates. Other suppliers often use starch, which is then incorporated into the final product, diluting its effects.
  2. We carefully dry the mushrooms at 60°C to prevent microbial contamination.
  3. Finally, we grind the lion’s mane into a fine powder and pack it into environmentally-friendly amber glass jars, before shipping to you to enjoy at home.
  4. Our lion’s mane is tested by independent accredited quality checkers to make sure they are high in beta-glucans.
