Pumpkin seed oil for skin

As it’s rich in unsaturated fatty acids, pumpkin seed oil is excellent for your skin. Use it to nourish your skin from the inside out by using it in your recipes, or taking it neat.

Alternatively, you can use it as a nourishing skin oil or massage oil.

Many women swear by using pumpkin seed oil for their breasts, claiming that it helps to give them a natural lift, however the evidence for this is anecdotal.

That said, there is some scientfic evidence which suggests pumpkin seed oil may be a good choice for women during menopause. The study found that pumpkin seed oil helped to relieve symptoms such as headaches and hot flushes. Read more about the study by clicking below.

Styrian pumpkin seed oil

Our pumpkin seed oil is sourced sustainably from Styria, a state in the south east of Austria. There, pumpkin seed oil is a local delicacy, and the traditional methods of making it are extremely rigorous.

We follow the traditional process to make our Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil. It involves grinding the seeds and kneading them together with water and salt before the mixture is gently roasted. There is a dedicated ‘press master’ whose job it is to decide when the mixture is perfectly roasted. Only then can cold-pressing begin.

This method, which has been developed over generations, makes sure that the oil tastes delicious. However, it also means the healthy unsaturated fatty acids in the oil remain intact. If you’d like to try a traditional Styrian way of eating pumpkin seed oil, we recommend mixing with a little apple cider vinegar and using as a salad dressing.
