Why we love matcha green tea
About our matcha green tea
Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest grade of matcha tea. It is traditionally used in Japanese Tea Ceremonies, an elaborate ritual in which the host treats their guests to the finest quality matcha, sometimes along with sweets, and which can continue for several hours.
Ceremonial grade matcha can only be made in Japan, from the youngest leaves of the camellia sinensis plant. Our tea is sustainably sourced from the Kyoto region.
Matcha is well-known for its impressive health benefits. It contains catechins, which fight free radicals and oxidative stress.† Our matcha also contains naturally occurring l-theanine, a non-protein amino acid which has shown promise in reducing stress-related symptoms.†
Matcha makes an excellent alternative to coffee. It provides a similar boost of energy thanks to its natural caffeine without giving you the ‘jitters’ or an upset stomach.
Sustainably sourced.
- Our 100% Tencha green tea is grown sustainably by small farmers near Kyoto, Japan. Prior to harvesting, the leaves of the plant are shaded with a reed screen to produce a vivid green color and a mild, sweet flavor.
- Our farmers hand-pick, gently steam and dry the tea leaves before removing all stems and veins.
- The leaves are then ground to an extremely fine powder in a stone mill. Our Organic Matcha is stone-ground to order, making sure it’s always fresh.
- The finished matcha is shipped to us, and we pack it into environmentally-friendly amber glass jars. We then ship it to you, to enjoy at home.

Best Matcha I’ve Ever Had
This matcha is so smooth and has such a bright green color- you can’t mistake it for being low quality! It tastes amazing and dissolves well.

Great quality!!
Really nice, good quality matcha! I will definitely be using this strictly in drinks because the flavour is just so amazing. Not bitter like the cheaper versions, just perfect.
