Why you’ll love our tigernut granola

We love tigernut. It tastes good. It does good. Unlike its name suggests, tigernut is not a nut but a sweet root vegetable. It’s packed with minerals, including iron, magnesium and zinc. It’s also high in fiber and acts as a prebiotic. In other words, it’s a source of energy for the good bacteria that take care of your digestive system.

Sprouted buckwheat

Just like tigernut is not a nut, buckwheat is not a wheat. It’s a wholesome, naturally gluten-free seed.

Buckwheat sprouts are even more impressive. Due to sprouting, buckwheat is easier to digest and its nutrients become more available to your body. It’s worth noting that buckwheat is a source of minerals, such as magnesium, copper and iron. It also contains rutin, a flavonoid that may help your body fight oxidative stress.

Nopal

Nopal is a folk remedy commonly found in Mexican dishes. Eaten by the Aztec and Maya people, this opuntia cacti is rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium and flavonoids – phytonutrients that help your body fight oxidative stress. Just like with the other ingredients in Erbology snacks, we use raw nopal for you to enjoy its nutritional value.

Aronia, pumpkin and chocolate smoothie

A good plant-based snack comes with a nutritious smoothie. To make this delicious pumpkin drink, start with washing, peeling and cutting 1 pumpkin into small cubes. Bring water to a boil, add a pinch of salt and the pumpkin. Leave until it becomes soft. In a blender, add 1 cup cooked pumpkin, 3/4 Erbology Organic Aronia Juice, 2 ripe bananas, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk, 1 tsp raw cacao powder and a pinch of anise, cardamom and cinnamon. Blend until silky and enjoy.
