Why we love amaranth grain
About our amaranth grain
Amaranth grain was once a staple food of the Aztecs. With its nutty flavour, high fibre and protein content and incredible versatility, it has earned its place in pantries from ancient to modern times.
Unusually, amaranth grain contains all nine essential amino acids. These can’t be produced by the body, but are important for all kinds of processes from collagen production to liver function.
Sustainably sourced.
- Our amaranth is grown sustainably by small farmers in India.
- It is hand-picked during the annual summer harvest season and shipped to Europe.
- We pack our amaranth into environmentally-friendly packaging and ship it to you, to enjoy at home.

A very nutritious and tasty alternative to porridge-
very high in insoluble fiber and protein. Been enjoying this porridge cooked down in oat milk and maple syrup topped with toasted apples. What a treat!

Gluten-free grain
This is the best tasting amarant that I have tried so far, nutty yet smooth. I love simply boiling it and eating it as a side dish with vegetables. As a porridge it is a nice alternative as well. It’s healthy, tasty and gluten-free! Ticks all the boxes
