Cold-pressed black seed oil

As with all our plant oils, we use a cold-pressing process to extract the oil from our black cumin seeds.

This is because it contains health-supporting compounds which are very delicate. Exposure to high temperatures or even too much light can start to break them down.

That’s also why we use recyclable amber glass bottles to house our oil. It’ll protect it from light so you can get all the benefits from the oil. To help your Organic Black Seed Oil last even longer, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place.

Black seed oil for hair and skin

The legend goes that Cleopatra used to use black seed oil to keep her hair looking sleek and shiny! Indeed, black seed oil makes a fabulous hair mask.

On its own, it can be quite potent, so we recommend mixing black seed oil with another oil such as almond or hemp when using on your hair and skin. These oils won’t block your pores, and make excellent carrier oils for black seed oil.

Mix a small amount of black seed oil into your chosen carrier oil and warm in your palms. Spread throughout your hair and leave on for ten minutes before shampooing as normal.

Black seed oil is useful for acne sufferers as its antimicrobial properties may help beat bacteria. Again, we recommend mixing a couple of drops into a carrier oil to avoid irritation. Use last thing at night for best results.
