  • ½ tsp orange zest
  • 4-6 tbsp water

  • 2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flax seeds + 6 tbsp water)
  • 2 tbsp almond flakes, to garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and line a 20cm square tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients: ground almonds, coconut flour, cocoa powder, milk thistle powder, baking soda and sea salt. Mix well, using a whisk or a fork.
  3. In a small bowl, make the flax eggs by combining the ground flax seeds together with water. Mix and leave it to thicken, for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour over the sunflower oil, orange zest, water and liquid stevia over the dry ingredients. Give it a quick mix, then add in the flax eggs. Mix well using a spatula. If the mixture is too dry, add 2-3 more tablespoons of water.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin. Gently ease the mixture into the corners and level it with a spatula.
  6. Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes. 
  7. When ready, take out of the oven and let the brownies cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
